HSBC eco-schools

The HSBC Eco-Schools Climate Initiative was launched in Malta on the 17th November 2009 during a tree planting activity at Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre. Through this event climate change becomes an international theme for schools supported by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). In the first phase Eco-Schools from Brazil, China, England, Ireland, Japan, Jordan, Malta, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, United States and Wales took part in this initiative by exploring ways how they can contribute to combating climate change by reducing their CO2 emissions. On the Sunday Times of Malta – 30th October 2016: http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20161030/education/Teachers-whet-appetite-for-a-menu-of-change.629526 The report of the conference We Eat Responsibly – Menu for Change, Prague, 21st-23rd October 2016 was collated by Ms Cristina Mifsud and Ms Emma Borg, two of the teachers from Malta who attended the Conference.
