EkoSkola Award Ceremony

The Annual EkoSkola Award Ceremony was held at The President’s Palace, Valletta, on Tuesday 3rd December 2013.  His Excellency Dr George Abela, President of Malta, presided the ceremony and presented the students with the prestigious Green Flag.  A total of 24 schools received the award, out of which 12 were given the award the first time. YRE, LEAF and Eco Centres Award Ceremony

December 2, 2013

On the 2nd December 2013, YRE, LEAF and Eco Centres were presented their awards by the Hon. Minister Leo Brincat. The event marked as well the official launch of the Eco Centres, where 2 youth groups: the Qrendi Scout Group and Zejtun Parish Eco Centre piloted this initiative.  Both centres reached the necessary criteria and were awarded with the National award. FEE Seminars – Malta and Gozo

The annual FEE Seminars (EkoSkola, YRE and LEAF) were held on the 22nd November 2013 and 25th  November 2013 in Gozo and Malta respectively.  The teachers and students attended separate workshops on the use of IT in relation to sustainable development programmes, The Litter Less Campaign and LEAF. During the Gozo seminar, awarded schools were presented with the Green Flag by Hon.
