FEE Programmes Annual Seminars

As customary, Nature Trust Malta organised its annual FEE seminars in Malta (25th November) and Gozo (28th November). Each event was characterised by parallel sessions for teachers and students. The teachers’ events focused on ways to address the requirements of the National Curriculum Framework for ESD through the different FEE programmes. Two rehabilitated turtles released

Two loggerhead turtles were released at Ġnejna Bay. Students from EkoSkola schools who sponsored the rehabilitation of the turtles together with distinguished guests attended the release. The turtles, Katusu and Edel, rehabilitated at San Luċjan were released by seven-year-old Luca Mangion, who was surrounded by a crowd of some 90 children. Katusu, who was rescued in July, had ingested metal objects and his stomach had to be cleared. A lesion on his flipper also had to be treated. Edel was...
