HSBC Eco-Schools Climate Initiative

The HSBC Eco-Schools Climate Initiative was launched in Malta on the 17th November 2009 during a tree planting activity at Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre. Through this event climate change becomes an international theme for schools supported by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). In the first phase Eco-Schools from Brazil, China, England, Ireland, Japan, Jordan, Malta, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, United States and Wales took part in this initiative by exploring ways how they can contribute to combating climate change by reducing their CO2 emissions.
