Cereal Day – Health and well-being

Who's Participating: St Francis School, Cospicua

Cereal day is a Healthy activity organised once per term to all students. Throughout the scholastic year, class teachers emphasise the need of having breakfast cereal as a major source of nutrition for children as many of them get most of their vitamins and other nutrients from fortified breakfast cereals and fruit drinks. Thus, our school organize a ‘Healthy Cereal Day’ for our students once in every term where during lunch time a packet of cereal and a glass of milk is given to each student. Awareness about energy saving & the environment

Who's Participating: St Francis School, Cospicua

The class teacher delivered a lesson about ‘The importance of electricity’. Besides many discussions, an important discussion about the need of a more efficient Power Station was held. Above all, the students learned that it provides continuous energy supply with its main objective to help maintain a clear and healthy environment. Waste Minimisation with Students’s Voice – European Dimension

Who's Participating: St Albert the Great College

Our school took part in the SVED (Students’ Voice European Dimension) and 1 eco school member together with the link teacher had the opportunity to visit a school in Bari and explain the work of the Eko Skola committee. After doing an environmental review, the Eko Skola committee decided to focus on waste management for the year 2009 – 2010. Thus, all activities were linked with this theme.
